About the engine

Malbec’s engine is our own build of Wine and DXMT, made from public sources: Wine from CodeWeavers’ published CrossOver sources and DXMT by Feifan He, both under the GNU LGPL. Besides our own patches, it uses build scripts, patches and Overwatch’s frame-by-frame profile from Recall by Joshua Asher Nelson (MIT and Apache-2.0). Thank you to all three. The source of every release’s engine is on our source page.
