Refund policy

14 days, for any reason

Within 14 days of buying Malbec you can get a full refund, for any reason. You don’t have to explain.

To ask for one, either:

• write to support@malbec.app, or reply to the e-mail with your license key, and tell us the address you bought with or the order number from that e-mail; or
• reply to your receipt from Link, Stripe’s checkout, which sold Malbec to you for us. Link’s support can refund a purchase too.

We approve every request made within 14 days of buying. Stripe sends the full amount you paid back to the way you paid, and Link e-mails you when it does. When the refund goes through, your license ends on every Mac, and we e-mail you that it has.

After 14 days

We still help. If Malbec can’t run a game that we said it runs (a game labelled Tuned or Supported when you bought), write to us. We’ll try to fix it, and if we can’t, we’ll talk about a refund.

Your right of withdrawal (EU consumers)

Your rights under the law

This policy adds to your rights as a consumer; it doesn’t replace them. If Malbec doesn’t work as described, you keep the rights the law of your country gives you for digital content.

Chargebacks

Please ask us for a refund instead of disputing the payment with your bank. A refund is quicker for you. While a dispute is open, no new Macs can be added to your key, and the Macs that already use it keep playing. If the bank decides against the purchase, the key stops working.

Free licenses and betas

Beta licenses and licenses we give away (to testers, the press or contributors) cost nothing, so there is nothing to refund.
