Help pages

Every message Malbec can show has its own page here, with what happened and the one fix, and so does each setting that needs explaining. In the app, the ? next to a message opens its page, and Help › Malbec Help has the same pages with search, also when you’re offline. All help pages.

Send diagnostics

In Malbec, choose Help › Export Diagnostics…; it is also in Settings › Support. Malbec saves a zip with its logs and a short system summary. It has no account details, and your home folder is masked. Attach it to your email.

The file stays on your Mac until you attach it to an email yourself.

Write to us

Email support@malbec.app. Say which game, what you expected and what happened, and attach diagnostics.

Your license

• Lost your key? It’s in the email we sent after you bought Malbec. Can’t find it? Lost your key? emails every key for the address you bought with, with a link to manage your Macs.
• New Mac? One license works on 2 Macs at a time. Choose Deactivate This Mac in Settings › License on the old one, or remove it by a link we email you (Manage Macs in Settings › License). Activating needs the internet once per Mac; after that Malbec works offline.
• Your statement says LINK.COM* MALBEC. Link, Stripe’s checkout, sells Malbec to you for us and sends your receipt. Your key comes in a separate email from us.
• Trial already used on a second-hand Mac? There is one free trial per Mac. Write to us with the support code from Settings › License, and we reset it.
• Refunds: within 14 days, for any reason. Write to us or reply to the email with your key. See the refund policy.

Report a game

Is a game missing, or does it run differently than its label says? In Malbec’s Help menu, choose Report a Game…; it opens an email with the details we need, and you read it and press Send. What happens next.
