Install it
- Open the disk image.
- Drag Malbec to Applications.
- Open Malbec and pick a store.
Malbec sets up Steam or Battle.net for you, and you sign in on the store’s own window. Games you add from an installer or a folder are labelled Untested. See what runs before you start.
The trial
- The whole app and every catalog game, free for 7 days. No account needed.
- The trial starts when you choose. Setting up Steam and Battle.net, bringing games over and changing settings don’t start it.
- The first time you press Play, or anything else that needs a license, Malbec offers Start Free Trial. Settings › License has the same button. From then on the trial runs for 7 days, whether you play or not, and Malbec shows the days left.
- One free trial per Mac: reinstalling Malbec doesn’t start a new one.
- After the trial, these need a license: Play, Install, Open Store, Uninstall in Store, Run an Installer and Run a Windows Program. Your games and settings are kept. Buy a license to go on.
Check the download
Each version on All versions has its SHA-256 checksum. To compare, open Terminal and run shasum -a 256 followed by a space and the disk image dragged into the window.
