Malbec finds the games you install in Steam, and you can add a game from its installer or its folder. A game nobody has tested is labelled Untested. Before you play, Malbec shows any reason it knows of that the game won’t run, for example kernel anti-cheat or DirectX 12 only; a game nobody has tested can still fail. These are the games we know about.

Requests come from the app, by email, so you see exactly what you send. This site has no form.
Request a game
Missing a game, or does one run differently than its label says?
- Add it and play. You don’t have to wait for us. Install the game in Steam, or add it from its installer or its folder. It’s labelled Untested, and before you play Malbec shows any reason it knows of that it won’t run.
- Report it. In Malbec’s Help menu, choose Report a Game…, and your mail app opens an email to us with the game, its label in Malbec, the engine version, your macOS version and your Mac’s model. Add how the game ran; nothing is sent until you press Send.
- We test it. We read the reports every week. When several players report that a game works, we test it with the same checklist as every game in the catalog.
- It joins the catalog. A game that passes gets its own settings and becomes Supported in the next update of Malbec.
