What it does
Windows programs can look for a network proxy by themselves. On some home networks that lookup stalls Battle.net’s installer partway through. So in Malbec it is off for each store, unless your Mac finds its proxy automatically (System Settings › Network › Details › Proxies), as on many work and school networks; then it stays on.
How to use it
To change it for one store, use its switch under Detect network proxy automatically in Settings › Games. It takes effect the next time the store starts from Malbec. While your Mac finds its proxy automatically, the switches stay on.
When to write to us
If a store’s installer stalls with the setting on and off, write to us with a diagnostics file.
