Malbec restored your data from a backup
A saved file was damaged, so Malbec used its backup from an earlier session. Your latest changes may be missing.
What happened
One of the files where Malbec keeps your library, settings or play time couldn’t be read when Malbec opened, for example after the Mac shut down while the file was being saved. Malbec kept the damaged file aside and loaded the copy it saved in an earlier session.
The fix
Look over your library and settings. Games you added or settings you changed in your last session may be missing; add or change them again. Nothing else is needed.
When to write to us
If it happens again, or games you added are still missing, write to us with a diagnostics file.
Email support@malbec.app. For a diagnostics file, choose Help › Export Diagnostics… in Malbec and attach the zip it saves. It has no account details, and your home folder is masked.
